Darrell Robertson

Darrell Robertson and his family reside in the Stony Point community of Alexander County. Darrell is a 1966 graduate of Stony Point High School and graduated in 1970 from N.C. State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Option. Darrell is currently employed with Matthews Construction in Conover and Charlotte.

Darrell is a member and past president of the Stony Point Ruritan Club, a member of the Alexander Blue Ribbon Study Committee, Alexander County Fire Marshal Study Committee, and a former member and officer of the Stony Point Fire Department.

Darrell was first elected to the Alexander County Board of Commissioners on November 5, 1996 and has served 4 consecutive terms since. During these terms, he served as vice-chairman in 2005 and 2006 and as chairman in 1998, 2003, 2007, and 2009. He was re-elected to his 5th term on November 2, 2010 and will serve again as chairman in 2011.
